So, after a friend recommended Melanie, I figured it was worth a try. And, the fact that I have continued to see her for 9 months speaks for itself. After seeing countless doctors for my unbearable cramps during the first two days of my period, my only options seemed to be the pill (in which I do not believe) or a strong dose of ibuprofen. My cramps were so bad that I had been taking it in 800 mg doses but the prescribed amount of two a day was not enough. I had to take it at least four times a day to feel any relief. After less than 6 months of acupuncture I decreased my meds to half and now (after about a year) I need no meds at all.
